Chelsea registered a 4-0 win over Southampton in the Premier League to continue their fight for a Champions League berth. They next game is lined up against Copenhagen in the round of 16 of the Europa Conference League this week.
The Blues must have gained a lot of confidence with their last game performance. With all the experience and talent available at Enzo Maresca’s disposal, he will be aiming to gain a big lead in the first leg. However, they need to work hard to do that.
Defence
As Enzo Maresca has chosen Filip Jorgensen as Chelsea’s primary goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez is likely to feature in the Conference League matches. No change at the right-back spot as Malo Gusto continues to provide his services from there.
While Tosin Adarabioyo should be retained at the heart of the defence, Josh Acheampong could get some minutes at the cost of Levi Colwill. The departure of Renato Veiga will force left full-back Marc Cucurella to feature more.

Midfield
Moises Caicedo is likely to feature in the middle of the park alongside Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The latter has got limited time and his presence should provide some much-needed rest to Enzo Fernandez.
Attack
Tyrique George has shown promising signs and Maresca could reward him with a start in this game. He will operate on the left flank with Jadon Sancho taking care of the other side of the pitch.
With Cole Palmer likely to have a rest, Christopher Nkunku should be playing in the centre area which he likes a lot. Pedro Neto continues to lead the offensive line and play near the penalty box to create goal-scoring chances.
