Augsburg defender Noahkai Banks appears to be an important name on Roma’s shortlist for the summer.

In an exclusive interview with Sport BILD, as reported by Florian Plettenberg, 18-year-old Noahkai Banks confirmed Roma’s interest in him.

“When I first heard about Roma’s interest, it was a huge honour for me,” said the American footballer.

He then revealed that Claudio Ranieri held a video call with him: “The fact that coach Claudio Ranieri personally reached out to me was great.”

“But in the end, I am a player of FC Augsburg and know that the club has big plans for me,” he concluded.

Despite this final statement, Roma remain keen on the player and continue monitoring him for the remainder of the season.

Banks’ contract runs out in 2027 and his pricetag is estimated at 10 million euros.
