Official: 3 Barcelona stars included in Champions League Team of the Week | OneFootball

A trio of first-team stars at La Liga giants Barcelona have been included in the official UEFA Champions League Team of the Week.

As much was confirmed across the social media platforms of European football’s governing body on Thursday.

Barcelona were of course back in action on the continent this past Tuesday night.

Amid an ongoing pursuit of a historic treble, the Blaugrana made the trip to Italy, for a Champions League semi-final 2nd-leg showdown with Inter Milan.

When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops saw their continental campaign go up in smoke, owing to a 7-6 aggregate defeat.

As alluded to above, though, three members of Barca’s squad nevertheless did enough to secure for themselves a place in the Team of the Week.

The trio in question come in the form of left-back Gerard Martín, midfielder Frenkie de Jong, and wide-man Lamine Yamal.
