Official: Another Real Madrid star out of Mallorca clash through injury | OneFootball

The injury problems continue to mount for Real Madrid leading up to tonight’s clash against RCD Mallorca, with Andriy Lunin becoming the latest casualty.

Indeed, Real Madrid have officially confirmed that the 26-year-old goalkeeper is out of the squad for tonight’s game at the Santiago Bernabeu due to an injury he sustained in training.

“Andriy Lunin has been ruled out of today’s match against Real Mallorca due to a bruise on his right hand sustained during yesterday’s training session. Fran González is in the squad instead,” the statement read.

Real Madrid were already without a host of players for the game, with Vinicius Jr., Lucas Vazquez, and Rodrygo Goes becoming the latest absentees to join Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, and Dani Carvajal.

On top of that, Aurelien Tchouameni is also out of the game due to suspension. Now, Lunin, who has been linked with a summer exit, has also been sidelined with Fran Gonzalez stepping up as his replacement in the squad for tonight’s clash.

If Real Madrid lose tonight, FC Barcelona will be crowned champions of La Liga even without having had to play their midweek game, which is scheduled for tomorrow against RCD Espanyol.
