Federico Dimarco and Carlos Augusto are both vying to start for Inter Milan in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908. They report that the left flank is the only selection doubt for Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi ahead of the quarterfinal second leg.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will certainly want to play the strongest available starting eleven on Wednesday.

The Nerazzurri host Bayern Munich in a match that could very well define their season. They are aiming to see out their first leg advantage over the Bavarians and book their place in the Champions League semifinals.

And by and large, Inzaghi knows exactly who will start.

In goal, Yann Sommer will start against his former club Bayern.

And then there is certainly no doubt that Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni will all come back into the lineup after getting a rest against Cagliari on Saturday.

Meanwhile, on the right flank Matteo Darmian will come into the starting eleven.

And in midfield Henrikh Mkhitaryan will replace Davide Frattesi in the trio alongside Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella.

Then, in attack Marcus Thuram will return to lead the line alongside Lautaro Martinez.

Buat left-wiingback, there is a bit of a selection dilemma for Inzaghi.

Federico Dimarco returned to the starting eleven against Cagliari this weekend. And he put in an impressive display.

However, there are still one or two doubts remaining regarding Dimarco’s condition. He is still shaking off a persistent thigh problem.

On the other hand, Carlos Augusto has looked to be at his absolute best.

The former Monza wingback shone in last week’s first leg win over Bayern. Therefore, he would be a candidate to start ahead of Dimarco as well.
