Chelsea welcomed Liverpool at Stamford Bridge earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Blues made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the third minute when Enzo Fernandez got his name on the scoresheet. Enzo Maresca’s men controlled the game well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Jarell Quansah scored an unfortunate own goal in the 56th minute. However, Liverpool got a goal back thanks to Virgil Van Dijk’s head in the 85th minute. Cole Palmer ended up making the points secured for the Blues as he killed the game off with a late penalty. The contest finished with Chelsea earning an impressive 3-1 win in front of their home fans.
