FC Barcelona have gone into the March international break with a very good run of form, as they have not lost a single game since the start of 2025 and went into the break following a morale-boosting win against Atletico Madrid.
However, problems seem to be on the horizon for the Blaugranes at the end of this international break. This has been the case primarily because La Liga has set March 27th as the date on which the previously postponed match between Barcelona and Osasuna will be played.
Neither of the two clubs are in favor of playing on this date, as it comes too soon after the end of the international break, and will appeal to get a new date set for this tie.
Meanwhile, reactions to the selection of this date continue to come from the Blaugrana dressing room. The latest to comment on this matter was the midfielder Pedri.
As SPORT has reported, the Canarian found it quite strange that the authorities have selected this date to play the postponed game:
“The truth is that it’s a bit strange that they scheduled the match against Osasuna on March 27. I didn’t know they would set the game for that day.”
However, the Barcelona midfielder also admitted the difficulties La Liga was facing to reschedule this game:
“I don’t really understand it because Madrid already complained about playing with less than 72 hours of rest. And well, I think it’s true that La Liga didn’t have many available dates to schedule it, but not having these two players [referring to Raphinha and Araujo] affects us a bit. Let’s see what happens.”
In addition to the absence of these two players, other Blaugrana players will also have to play this game with a lot of fatigue. Hopefully, sense will prevail and a new date will be chosen to play this game to ensure the well-being of the players.
