Manchester City’s rebuild is set to continue this summer with Ederson expected to leave the Etihad.
The goalkeeper came close to leaving Manchester City last summer amid interest from the Saudi Pro League. Saudi sides retain interest in the Brazil international, who is understood to be open to a new challenge after eight seasons in England.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the 31-year-old has ‘concrete’ opportunities to leave City at the end of the season.
Ederson signed for Manchester City from Benfica for a fee of £35m in 2017 and has since won six Premier League titles among his honours.
He is a three-time winner of the Premier League’s Golden Glove and holds the record for Premier League assists by a goalkeeper (7). Incredibly, four of Ederson’s league assists have come this season.
Manchester City have been linked with signing Diogo Costa from FC Porto as Ederson’s replacement. The Portugal international has a release clause of €75m in his contract with the Primeira Liga side.
