Player ratings: Atalanta 1-1 Juventus – Kalulu challenges impressive Carnesecchi | OneFootball

Juventus 13th draw of the season with a 1-1 result away against Atalanta in Serie A on Tuesday evening, as Pierre Kalulu’s first Bianconeri goal was cancelled out by a Mateo Retegui header off the bench.

Atalanta: Carnesecchi 8; Djimsiti 6, Hien 6, Kolasinac 6; Bellanova 7, Ederson 6.5, De Roon 7, Ruggeri 6.5; Samardiz 6.5; Lookman 6, De Ketelaere 6.

Best Atalanta player: Carnesecchi 8 – Another solid display from the increasingly-improving Italy prospect, who made a miraculous recovery to deny Pierre Kalulu on the goalline a few minutes before Juve’s opener.

Coach: Gian Piero Gasperini 6.5 – There were moments when Juventus were on top, but Atalanta had their chances, too. And despite having a handful of key players out of the starting line-up, Atalanta looked as strong as they usually do, and responded well to get themselves back level.

Best Juventus Player: Kalulu 8 – Millimetres away from scoring a brace for the Bianconeri. In the end he had to settle for ‘just’ his first goal in Juventus colours. A game where his brightest moments came in the opponents’ half as opposed to his own, the Frenchman took his goal incredibly well, like a seasoned centre-forward in the area, and was just as useful at the back as he usually is.

Coach: Thiago Motta / Alexandre Hugeux 6 – Thiago Motta was suspended following his red card against Torino over the weekend, so it was his assistant Alexandre Hugeux in the dugout against Atalanta. Either way, Juventus looked threatening at times, even if they were without Dusan Vlahovic up front. Yet another draw for the Bianconeri, though, and Juventus have not won without the Serbian since Motta’s appointment in the summer.
