Barcelona kept the club’s flawless start to the new La Liga campaign alive and well on Wednesday night.
As much came courtesy of a hard-fought downing of Getafe.
Hansi Flick’s troops marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Getafe to Catalunya’s capital for their 2nd outing in the space of just four days.
The Barca coaching staff nevertheless opted to maintain a strong starting XI, making use of the likes of Lamine Yamal, Jules Koundé and Robert Lewandowski.
And, when all was said done, it was the latter of this trio who proved himself the game’s decisive figure.
Breaking free in the heart of the visitors’ penalty area inside the 20-minute mark, frontman Lewandowski made no mistake with a straightforward finish past David Soria.
And this proved all she wrote when it came to the evening’s scoring, as Barcelona reestablished the club’s four-point advantage atop the La Liga table.
