Positive update on Anthony Gordon injury situation ahead of facing Manchester United

Anthony Gordon was at last free from suspension but still missing from the squad against Leicester on Monday.
Eddie Howe when asked after that 3-0 win, how likely it was that we would see the England international involved against Man U – 7 April 2025:
“Anthony Gordon wasn’t close [to being available for the Leicester match].
“He is still feeling the effects of that tackle with England.
“We hope that we may see him soon.
“But I have got no certainty on that.”
Now there has been a positive update on the Anthony Gordon situation, as he recovers from that hip injury that he suffered playing for England 18 days ago.
The Mail reporting on Thursday (10 April 2025) that Anthony Gordon has made good progress this week and has a chance of featuring against Manchester United on Sunday.
This new update sees Craig Hope of The Mail say his information is that ‘…the news on Gordon has been more positive in recent days and it remains the belief that the problem is not serious.’
Interesting to see what Jason Tindall has to say about Anthony Gordon this morning. Eddie Howe has been forced through illness to miss his media duties ahead of the Man U match, with his sidekick stepping in this morning.
With matches coming thick and fast, I think at best Anthony Gordon will be on the bench for this Man U match, with Palace at home on Wednesday and then the following Saturday it is Villa away.
