An exclusive report claims that Chelsea are currently trying to complete a pre-deal for now ahead of the summer transfer window.

The news comes off the back of Chelsea beating Leicester City 1-0 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon in what was a vital three points in the race for Champions League spots.

It didn’t look like it was going to be Chelsea’s day after Cole Palmer missed a first half penalty when most of us would of put our houses on him scoring it.

Enzo Maresca was very pleased with the three points but he did once again threaten to take off one of his players if they went against his passing tactics.

All in all though it was a good afternoon for Chelsea as they firmly put themselves back in to fourth place in the Premier League.

Regardless of any of this, Chelsea will be looking to make a few big signings in the summer transfer window, with a new striker still on the agenda.

Chelsea want pre-deal for Delap

According to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Chelsea are ready to try and seal a deal with Ipswich prior to the summer to sign striker Liam Delap.

Chelsea have been informed of substantial rival interest in Delap, meaning they are keen to secure his signature as soon as possible.

However, the report states Ipswich are not in a hurry to do a deal before the summer given the level of interest that is being shown.

Their sources believe that whilst Ipswich do not want to do a deal now, but Chelsea are ready to tempt them with an offer of around £50m including add-ons.

It’s also understood that Ipswich are working on possible replacements for Delap already, per the report.
