PUMA and City launch limited edition goalkeeper kit to be seen on-pitch this weekend | OneFootball

In a first for world football, Manchester City will showcase a bespoke goalkeeper kit designed by City stars using generative AI on-pitch this weekend.

City players Ederson, Stefan Ortega and Rico Lewis together designed the limited-edition goalkeeper kit using PUMA AI Creator – a generative AI design platform that enabled fans to create their dream Manchester City kits using text prompting, customisation tools and intuitive sliders.

One of these fan-designed kits will become our Third Kit for the 2026/27 season, and you can vote now on the final ten here.

Fans can see the PUMA AI Creator goalkeeper shirt in action tomorrow during the men’s fixture against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium and Manchester City Women’s away clash against Aston Villa.

The limited edition goalkeeper kit is available in the UK as an in-store exclusive in City Stores (Etihad Stadium and Arndale Centre) on Saturday 25 January. The jersey is available in men’s, women’s and junior sizing, while stocks last.

PUMA AI Creator was launched to fans in December and offered supporters the once in a lifetime opportunity to have their dream kit design become the club’s official Third kit for the 2026/27 season.

At a special launch event, City goalkeeper Ederson surprised attendees by revealing the kit he helped design. Inspired by the net of a goal, Ederson shared his thoughts seeing his creation come to life for the first time:

“It’s the first time I’ve designed a shirt together with Stefan and Rico and I’m so happy I’ll get to see our shirt on the pitch. It looks amazing - the colours are so nice, they remind me of the colours of Brazil.”
