Ranieri makes contact with Gasperini and Farioli | OneFootball

Claudio Ranieri is taking matters into his own hands.

The veteran Roma coach is working on finding the right successor for next season, given that his contract as Roma’s interim manager is set to expire at the end of the season.

As reported by Il Romanista, the Friedkins initially asked Ranieri to continue working as head coach of the club but Ranieri declined, preferring to slot into the role of senior club executive.

The news portal adds that Ranieri immediately turned his attention to the search of a new head coach.

Among various candidates, Ranieri is said to have personally contacted Gian Piero Gasperini and Francesco Farioli in a meeting held in Rome a few days before the end of the year.
