Claudio Ranieri does not wish to lose the focus of some of the oldest members of Roma’s squad.
The long-time players like Pellegrini, El Shaarawy, Cristante and Mancini could all come in handy to the veteran technician who looks to turn things around for the Giallorossi.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ranieri wants to encourage those four players, in particular Pellegrini and Cristante who have been consistently at the receiving end of boos and whistles from the fans for the past few months.
Pellegrini and Cristante, among other things, are two of the players that Ranieri knows best, having had them in his second stint in the Italian capital.
With them also Stephan El Shaarawy, another of the senators that the Giallorossi coach aims to dust off.
Ranieri instead wants to count on them. He is said to be already working on it also from a psychological point of view, given that all 4 are in Trigoria and have not been called up by Luciano Spalletti.
