Real Madrid star Raúl Asencio has this weekend provided a fresh insight into his plans with the club moving forward.

Defender Asencio is for his part of course in the midst of nothing short of an explosion onto the world stage of football.

Afforded a chance to impress owing only to an injury crisis at the heart of Real Madrid’s backline, the 22-year-old has since taken full advantage, and more.

Alongside Antonio Rüdiger, Asencio has quickly established himself as the most reliable defensive performer in Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded squad.

Despite his tender years and relative inexperience at senior level, the defender has looked completely unphased by the leap in demands, shining both in and out of possession.

Already a fan favourite amongst the Real Madrid faithful, all associated with the Spanish champions will therefore no doubt be delighted to hear of Asencio’s plans for the future.

Speaking to the media after playing his part in Los Blancos’ La Liga downing of Leganés on Saturday night, the stopper assured:
