RB Leipzig will demand around €90 million for striker Benjamin Sesko, who is a wanted man this summer, according to journalist Philipp Hinze.

Die Rotten Bullen are looking to make a massive profit on the €24 million they paid for the Slovenian centre-forward two years ago.

However, many European clubs cannot afford Sesko at such a steep price, and even those with the money have multiple holes to plug.

Also, there is the player’s wish. Where does Sesko feel is the best step for his budding career? Which club has the best project and gives him a clear development pathway?

With all these elements in mind, we look at where Sesko should call his stomping ground next season.

Arsenal

Arsenal are in the market for a centre-forward and could eventually land on Sesko, with Alexander Isak proving too expensive.

The Gunners wanted Sesko last summer, and he is on their radar again ahead of a pivotal transfer window.

They need a striker to spearhead their title chase, and the Leipzig man might consider himself up to the challenge.

Even though he is not yet the most prolific goalscorer, he would shine under Arteta in a system where he is the focal point.

Arsenal could be the perfect spot if he opts for a change of scenery this summer. They offer first-team football and a serious project where he can be pivotal.

Chelsea

Chelsea have been sniffing around Sesko, and it would be unsurprising if they decide to splash the cash as they have done mindlessly for the past three years.

However, the young striker must steer clear of Chelsea.

They have more money than sense at Stamford Bridge, and Sesko must take that into consideration.

The Blues have a project striker in Nicolas Jackson, and he has earned manager Enzo Maresca’s trust despite his profligacy.

Even though Sesko will fancy usurping Jackson, he needs the perfect environment to develop, and that is not Chelsea.

Manchester United

Speaking of places Sesko should avoid like the plague, Old Trafford should be top of the list. Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have stagnated there. He should be wary.

Manchester United are in turmoil, and Sesko will likely have fans on his back from the first minute to deliver, and it can descend into chaos if he needs time to settle in England.

United, like Chelsea, need a more experienced, mentally capable striker to lead the line. Sesko needs a place where he will not be harangued if he encounters issues.

For his career and development, Sesko needs to say no to United if they come calling, although he is a secondary target compared to Liam Delap and Victor Osimhen.

Liverpool

Liverpool have the kind of stable atmosphere Sesko should be eyeing this summer. He can adeptly replace Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota.

While there will be pressure on Sesko to hit the ground running, having Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo should ease his burden.

Liverpool also have eyes on Isak and Eintracht Frankfurt man Hugo Ekitike, but they will likely be too expensive for Liverpool’s owners.

Sesko could be the perfect option for the number nine shirt and may develop into one of the best in the world with the Reds.

What should Sesko do?

As much as he has been attracting interest from Europe’s elite and has the potential to be one of the best in the world, Sesko is not close to being the finished product.

The 21-year-old still struggles in several facets of the game. He has never hit the 30-goal milestone and might need time to acclimatise to a new environment.

His best bet would be to stay and keep improving at Leipzig, where they will continue to nurture him. He is due for an explosion, and can then push for his big move.

For now, staying in Leipzig would be the wiser choice. There is room for improvement in his game, and big clubs often swallow young players who jump ship too soon.
