It looks like we could finally see one Chelsea player back in action tonight in the FA Cup, and it’s been a long time since we saw that.
The weekend’s fourth round FA Cup matches will be rounded off this evening, and it is hopefully going to be a chance to see one Chelsea player in action.
The Blues had a terrible window, but they did get some bits done.
The transfer window closed a couple of weeks back now and it was a very bland and strange one for Chelsea. They only made one signing and he is a player who is just expected to play as a deep backup option this season and then probably go on loan in the summer.
Other than that, Chelsea just loaned a bunch of players out with the only permanent one being Cesare Casadei to Torino in the end.
One of those players loaned out was Ben Chilwell, who was frozen out and treated terribly by Chelsea despite being the club’s vice-captain just last season.

Now at Crystal Palace, Chilwell looks set to get his first minutes there in tonight’s game against Doncaster.
Speaking on Friday, Palace boss Oliver Glasner said: “We can’t expect Ben Chilwell to be playing 90 minutes. We can’t expect Adam Wharton playing 90 minutes. But it is possible they play. It is possible Romain Esse starts, but again, there’s many things for us to consider.
“I think both are ready to start, but I don’t want to plan that both maybe have to get off at half-time.
“My feeling tells me it’s not a good idea to start both at the same time when both are not available for 90 minutes – but maybe on Sunday I’ll have a different opinion.
“So there are many things we are thinking about, and then we will decide on the latest time we can, when we tell the players, latest Monday noon.”
