Despite a comfortable 4-0 victory over Osasuna on Saturday, the Real Madrid camp is not exactly upbeat right now.
That is because the club had to incur no less than three injuries against Osasuna, including the headline ACL injury to star defender Eder Militao.
Lucas Vazquez, too, picked up a knock whereas Rodrygo couldn’t continue for more than 20 minutes due to discomfort.
These fresh set of injuries are likely to force Real Madrid to look into the January market more seriously.
To that end, a recent report from Rodra P suggests Real Madrid are closely monitoring the progress of Castello Lukeba.
Formerly of Lyon, Lukeba has established himself as a key defensive figure for RB Leipzig and is regarded as one of the most talented young defenders in the Bundesliga.

Real Madrid have been eyeing Lukeba for a long time now and believe the Frenchman has the ability to lead the defence one day.
That is perhaps why Los Blancos are looking at him closely, especially with the January transfer window just around the corner.
However, Real Madrid will face a major economic hurdle in their bid to sign Castello Lukeba in January.
Despite the club’s healthy balance sheets, Lukeba could prove to be too expensive. That is because RB Leipzig have a long-term contract with the defender, with the player having a hefty €90 million release clause.
Not to mention, the release clause will only come into effect next summer. Hence, Lukeba is not someone Real Madrid may try to go after in January, but rather wait until the summer.
