Real Madrid are reportedly considering taking advantage of Theo Hernandez’s uncertain contract situation at Milan to bring the France international back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Negotiations over a contract extension have stalled in recent months, with initial rumours of an imminent agreement failing to materialise into concrete progress.

Although Sergio Conceição’s recent switch to a 3-4-3 formation appears to have helped Theo rediscover his form in an otherwise difficult season, the tactical shift may not be enough to secure his long-term future at San Siro.

Real Madrid plot cut-price Theo Hernandez return with Milan under pressure

According to AS, Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Theo Hernandez next summer, believing that his contract—set to expire in June 2026—could pressure Milan into lowering their asking price to avoid the risk of losing him for free.

As a result, Los Blancos reportedly believe that a €20 million offer might be sufficient to land the 27-year-old.

Theo Hernandez previously played for Real Madrid during the 2017–2018 season, before being loaned to Real Sociedad and eventually sold to Milan in the summer of 2019.
