While parting ways with the young players coming through their ranks, Real Madrid always make sure to maintain some degree of control over their future either by inserting buyback options or future sell-on clauses.
With the summer transfer window not far away, the Merengues are already considering the possibility of re-signing Miguel Gutierrez from Girona and Nico Paz from Como, while also closely following the progress of Alex Jimenez at AC Milan.
However, MARCA reports that, at the moment, Real Madrid have no plans to re-sign former defenders Rafa Marin and Mario Gila, both of whom are playing in Italy.
Gila made his first-team debut for Real Madrid in 2022 before being sold to Lazio for €6 million without a buy-back clause, though the club retain 50% of his economic rights, giving them first refusal if the Italian club decides to sell.
However, as things stand, Real Madrid are not currently planning to bring him back, but they anticipate a significant financial gain if he is sold, as he is excelling in Serie A.

As for Marin, he signed for Napoli last summer but has endured a difficult time under Antonio Conte in his debut season in Italy.
The Spaniard has played only five minutes in Serie A under Antonio Conte. Despite being a sporting director’s signing, he has struggled to justify Napoli’s €12 million investment.
Real Madrid’s buyback clauses for Marin are €25 million in 2026 and €35 million in 2027. However, Napoli have inserted an option allowing them to double these amounts by paying an additional €10 million in the first season, raising the fees to €50 million and €70 million.
However, as is the case with Gila, Real Madrid do not currently intend to repurchase him.
