According to a fresh report from MARCA, Real Madrid have set their sights on Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister as a possible solution to a pressing issue in their midfield.
The Argentine international has emerged as a key target for Los Blancos as they continue their search for a player capable of filling the void that was left by Toni Kroos.
The Spanish giants are currently facing significant challenges in finding the ideal profile to anchor their midfield next season.
Their recent pursuits of Martin Zubimendi and Florian Wirtz ended in disappointment, with Arsenal winning the race for Zubimendi and Wirtz opting to join Bayern Munich despite Xabi Alonso’s expected move to the Bernabeu.
This string of transfer setbacks has left Madrid in urgent need of a dynamic midfielder—one capable of operating effectively in a double pivot.

His ability to control the tempo, make those around him better, and seamlessly switch between offensive and defensive duties makes him an attractive and dynamic option for Real Madrid’s evolving system.
In many ways, he ticks the boxes the club has been trying to fill since Kroos began contemplating retirement.
However, there is one major obstacle: Mac Allister is a Liverpool player under a long-term contract, and neither the Reds nor the player himself have shown any intention of parting ways.
In fact, the Premier League champions are already nursing their wounds after Trent Alexander-Arnold’s decision to join Real Madrid, and losing another pivotal player to the Spanish club would be a bitter blow.
At the moment, Mac Allister’s situation appears stable at Anfield, and Liverpool are unlikely to entertain negotiations, especially after his strong season in England.
But for Madrid, who are still planning a midfield overhaul in the post-Kroos era, his name continues to dominate internal discussions at Valdebebas.
