Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni was quick to bring his teammates firmly back down to earth, on the back of their latest important result on Tuesday.

Real Madrid are of course fresh off booking their spot in another final last night.

After welcoming Real Sociedad to Spain’s capital for the 2nd leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final tie between the clubs, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops battled their way to a pulsating 4-4 draw.

With a 1-0 advantage under their belts from the tie’s opener, Los Blancos therefore marched on to the Copa showpiece.

The aforementioned Aurélien Tchouaméni for his part featured from the off in the clash, and chipped in with a crucial equaliser late in the 90.

After Antonio Rüdiger nodded home what proved to be the tie’s decisive goal a short time later, chaotic celebrations, in turn, were sparked amongst Real Madrid’s players and fans alike.

As alluded to above, though, keen to highlight the reality of the situation post-match was midfielder Tchouaméni.

Drawn on his side’s advancement during an exchange with the media following the full-time whistle, the former AS Monaco man insisted:

“We’re happy to be in the final, but we have to play better.”
