It has been a hard season for Real Madrid youngster Arda Guler, with game-time proving extremely hard to come by under Carlo Ancelotti.

The youngster, who turned 20 years old earlier this week, had hoped that things would take a turn for the better for him after a difficult debut season during which he hardly featured because of injuries and competition in the squad.

However, it has not been the case with opportunities coming few and far between and Guler not being able to make the most of those.

As such, there have been questions asked about his future at Real Madrid beyond this season, although Ancelotti insists that the Turkish prodigy is going through what players like Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo and Fede Valverde did in the past at the club.

Arda Guler wants to stay

Amidst growing speculations, journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reports that, at the moment, Arda Guler’s top priority is to stay put at Real Madrid despite all the noise surrounding his future.

The youngster will wait until the end of the season and see whether his situation at the Santiago Bernabeu sees any improvement.

If things remain the same, the Turkish attacking midfielder will consider his future, in which scenario he is unlikely to have any shortage of suitors.

Indeed, the report states that clubs from the Premier League, Bundesliga, and Serie A are lining up to sign Guler if he decides to leave Real Madrid in the summer.

As reported earlier this week, if it comes to that, the 20-year-old wonderkid would prefer to leave Real Madrid on a permanent transfer and not entertain a loan exit.

Only time will tell how this story unfolds, although the recent injury to Dani Ceballos might open up a window of opportunity for Guler to get more minutes under Ancelotti.
