Kylian Mbappe’s absence from the last international break caused a lot of controversy within France, with many questioning his allegiance.
Although head coach Didier Deschamps admitted that the French national team are not the employer of Mbappe, he pointed out that it’s important to strike a balance between club and international football.
Now, this familiar controversy could make a return as we gear up for yet another international break this month.
According to Le Parisien, Mbappe is once again expected to miss the international break in November.
The Real Madrid star won’t be available for France’s UEFA Nations League contest against Israel and Italy – something that won’t go down well with the fans.
This is especially relevant because Mbappe was appointed as the new captain of Les Bleus.

But with the forward frequently missing his international duties, it may have serious repercussions over how he is perceived in his home nation, especially given that he is the team captain.
However, it must be noted that these are merely reports and there are rumours elsewhere, which suggest Mbappe is going to make a return to the national team in November.
Therefore, it is too early to jump to conclusions just yet, even though the report from Le Parisien does indicate that the Frenchman will not be in the French squad.
The 2018 world champions are set to resume their Nations League campaign on November 14 against Israel, before a trip to Italy on November 17.
With France trailing Italy in their group, Mbappe’s presence could be critical if Les Bleus are to finish the group in the top position.
