The penultimate meeting between Barcelona and Real Madrid this season will simply be a Copa del Rey decider that promises to be historic, at the Estadio de la Cartuja in Seville this Saturday evening. While Barça are seeking their 32nd title in history, Real Madrid are hoping to lift the trophy for the 21st time, as well as preventing their rivals from having a chance of winning the treble.

Led by coach Hansi Flick, Barcelona are doing an impressive job this season with the possibility of winning four trophies in all, considering that Barça already beat Real Madrid 5-2 in the Spanish Super Cup earlier this year. They also lead the LaLiga table by four points from their biggest rivals.

The Catalan side are in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League preparing to face Inter Milan, while they continue to celebrate their 1-0 win over Mallorca, maintaining their unbeaten run since December in matches in Spain. Despite all this, Hansi Flick will have to break a huge taboo, as Barcelona's last Copa del Rey final win came in 1990, 2-0.

Despite being favored to win the title, Barcelona will have to play the final without their top scorer this season, as Robert Lewandowski is out due to a thigh injury, with Ferran Torres the natural choice to play in midfield. Alejandro Balde has also not recovered from a thigh injury in time for the final, and Gerard Martin is being considered to start in the position. Marc Casado and Marc Bernal are injured, but the big news is the return of Marc-André ter Stegen to the squad.
