Real Madrid youngster Arda Güler has this week afforded the club’s supporters a reason to smile.

This comes by way of a fresh round of quotes surrounding his future.

The subject of Arda’s plans for next season has of course proven something of a major talking point throughout the season to date.

This comes with the Turk yet to carve out for himself a regular place in the XI of outgoing Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.

A number of clubs from across the continent, in turn, are understood to be expressing an interest in Arda’s signature with a view to next season.

Safe to say, however, that if the latest comments on the part of the 20-year-old himself are anything to go by, then he does not plan to head anywhere any time soon.

Speaking during an interview with the Players Tribune this week, Arda made use of the opportunity to reiterate his total and complete commitment to the cause at the Santiago Bernabéu:

“When you’re presented as a Real Madrid player, it’s like a wedding ceremony. Your contract is for six years, but the idea is to stay together for life.”
