Inter Milan backup midfielder Kristjan Asllani has emerged as part of a comprehensive transfer dialogue with Bologna.
According to Il Resto del Carlino via FCInterNews, Asllani’s name has popped up during the club’s ongoing transfer discussions.
Indeed, Inter and Bologna could soon define Giovanni Fabbian’s fate.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined the Rossoblu in the summer of 2023, but the Nerazzurri inserted a buyback clause in the deal.
As a result, Simone Inzaghi’s side can re-sign Fabbian at the end of the season for a reported fee of €12 million.
Meanwhile, Asllani could move in the opposite direction.
Asllani will face Bologna later today.
With Hakan Calhanoglu on the sidelines, the 22-year-old will fill the vacancy in the engine room.
And it could be an opportunity for the Albanian ace to convince the Rossoblu to bring him to Renato Dall’Ara.
Indeed, Asllani’s long-term prospects at the San Siro look bleak.
His performances during Calhanoglu’s absence haven’t inspired much confidence, and Inter could opt for a sale.
That would ring particularly true if they re-purchase Fabbian.
Davide Frattesi’s imminent departure will increase the probability of the Italian’s return at the end of the season.
