Barcelona demonstrated a firm stance during the winter transfer window by turning down four offers for Ferran Torres, according to a report from Fichajes.
The Spanish forward caught the attention of several major European clubs, including Milan, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, and Arsenal.
Despite the interest, though, the Blaugrana board, with strong backing from manager Hansi Flick, made it clear that Torres was not available for transfer.
Each of these clubs had different reasons for targeting Torres. Napoli viewed him as a potential replacement in case Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left the club.
Borussia Dortmund saw Torres as an ideal candidate to fill the void left by the departure of Donyell Malen.
Arsenal, meanwhile, sought to bolster their attacking options with a versatile forward, while Milan made a move for Torres after sending Alvaro Morata to Galatasaray on loan.
Despite these varied motivations, Barcelona’s response remained consistent—Torres was staying.

A key factor behind this decision was Hansi Flick’s confidence in Torres. The German coach appreciates the forward’s dedication and sees him as an integral part of his tactical setup, even if he doesn’t always feature in the starting eleven.
Flick’s belief in Torres has been justified by his performances this season. So far, Torres has made 24 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists.
With an average of one goal involvement every 85 minutes, he has proven to be a valuable contributor to the team’s attacking efforts.
By retaining Torres, Barcelona aim to maintain strong offensive depth as they continue to pursue their season objectives.
The club believes that the forward’s abilities and Flick’s tactical use of him will be crucial in their ongoing campaigns. Torres remains committed to the Blaugrana cause and is expected to play a significant role at least until the season’s conclusion.
