As reported by Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger, Borussia Dortmund is keeping their tabs on a new midfielder for the summer transfer market: Ezechiel Banzuzi. With Dutch origins and Congolese roots, Banzuzi currently plays as a central/attacking midfielder for the Belgium side OH Leuven. The 20-year-old talent has two goals and six assists in 28 matches in the Belgium Pro League.
According to Berger, Ezechiel Banzuzi is a matter of interest for Borussia Dortmund as he is on Kehl's shopping list. However, there has been no offer yet, as reported by other media. The price tag for the player is between 12 and 15 million euros.

On the other hand, the Telegraaf reported an offer of 10 million euros from BVB for the midfielder, but it was rejected due to the small sum. The player is expected to be sold during the summer transfer window as there is alleged interest from clubs from France and Portugal. There was some concrete interest in Banzuzi in the winter, more exceptionally from clubs like AS Monaco and West Ham United, but no deal was reached by the deadline day.
Only time will tell whether Dortmund make an offer for Banzuzi. What seems to be concrete is that the Dutch midfield appears to be in range for a BVB transfer as he is a young prototype player the Black-and-Yellows usually appreciate. Banzuzi is a 1,91m (6'2'') box-to-box midfielder whose main assets are his ball-carrying and progressive abilities, in which his engine is a highlight, although he could still seek refinement in his distribution skills.
