Chelsea are reportedly not going to be pursuing a transfer move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, paving the way for Manchester United.
The Nigeria international is currently on loan at Galatasaray and has enjoyed another prolific season, though it remains to be seen where he’ll end up next.
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea are unlikely to go back in for Osimhen, with some suggestion that his attitude is a concern for them and others.
Meanwhile, a follow-up from the Mirror states that this looks like being a boost for Man Utd, who are keen to sign Osimhen as he’s available for potentially a bargain fee of just £40m.
The 26-year-old is in the final year of his Napoli contract and seems unlikely to stay there, while he also surely won’t be at Galatasaray any longer than his current season-long loan.

If United can pounce for Osimhen on the cheap, it could end up being brilliant business, and in many ways it’s surprising to see Chelsea aren’t pushing for him.
Osimhen has an impressive 30 goals in 35 games in all competitions this season, and it’s easy to imagine him having an impact in a more competitive league.
Chelsea would surely find that Osimhen is an upgrade on the inconsistent and unreliable Nicolas Jackson up front, while Christopher Nkunku has also been pretty poor and will surely leave.
The Blues need an elite centre-forward like Osimhen, but it seems they’re not prepared to take a gamble on him.
United don’t seem to share these concerns, so it will be interesting to see how it works out for them if he does end up arriving at Old Trafford.
The former Lille man would surely be a huge upgrade on the struggling Rasmus Hojlund, so CFC will likely live to regret not making a move for him when he was available for such a generous price.
