The Reds defender has entered the final few months of his contract at Anfield and his long term future at the Premier League club remains uncertain.
Along with teammates Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk, the England international has still not agreed to a new deal at the club and that has initiated rumours of a move away from the club to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
However, that could change soon with the Liverpool defender not being named among the club’s summer transfer targets.
According to Defensa Central, the Liverpool defender’s name was omitted from Real Madrid’s transfer targets.
The report named Dean Huijsen, Miguel Gutiérrez, Martín Zubimendi, Rodri, Florian Wirtz and Joshua Kimmich as Real Madrid’s top transfer targets for the summer transfer window.
It remains to be seen if that could be a sign of things to come. There is still no information about the defender agreeing to a new deal at Liverpool.
Perhaps Real Madrid know what a lot of others do not know about Alexander-Arnold’s future.
The fact that Kimmich has been named among the club’s transfer targets, a player who can play as a right-back, shows that it could be possible that the La Liga giants are considering other options for the right-back position.

Alexander-Arnold is available as a free agent at the end of the season and considering the attacking style of football that they like to play, the Reds star would be an ideal addition to their side.
Liverpool fans would welcome the report as that would mean one of their favourite players is likely to stay at the club.
Alexander-Arnold, who is helping the Merseyside club to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles this season, is a boyhood Liverpool fan having spent all his career at Anfield.
