Despite now being 36 years of age, Robert Lewandowski is still going as strongly as ever in the Barcelona attack, where he has scored 31 goals in 33 games in all competitions this season.

Despite recent doubts about whether the prolific Pole would continue on at Barcelona next season, it seems a decision regarding the striker’s future has already been made.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski has already agreed terms to extend his Barcelona contract into next year, seemingly securing his future at the Catalan club.

However, this agreement only sees the possibility of one more year, making it likely that next season will be his final in a Barcelona shirt.

Barcelona would be in a completely different position right now if not for their Polish striker. Lewandowski is the league’s top scorer and has been truly unbeatable this season.

With today’s reports, Barcelona fans will be happy in the knowledge that they have one more season to look forward to with Lewandowski, but will perhaps be saddened that the end is now in sight.
