AC Milan’s interest in signing Kevin Schade from Brentford has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, but there will not be a January approach.
A lot of the talk at the moment involving Milan and transfer business revolves around Santiago Gimenez, who has admitted to being flattered by the interest with reports today suggesting that the aim is to sign the Mexico international prior to Sunday’s derby against Inter.
However, Fabrizio Romano has suggested that getting a new winger is also something that the directors are looking at, in particular Kevin Schade. The Brentford star is ‘appreciated’ by the Rossoneri, but in view of the summer window.
The problem is that the 23-year-old ‘remains high on Borussia Dortmund’s list for this week’ if Karim Adeyemi leaves the club, with Napoli believed to be in talks over his signing. Thus, Milan might have to cross a target off their list if BVB move earlier.
Schade is under contract until 2028 and has a Transfermarkt valuation of €22m, so he will command a significant fee. That is especially the case given his importance to Brentford, with six goals and two assists to his name in the Premier League so far this season across 23 appearances.
He is also now a full Germany international, having made four appearances for the senior side, albeit without scoring a goal yet and with only 47 minutes of action cumulatively.
