With two new arrivals confirmed on the Bochum front in the form of Tom Krauß and Georgios Masouras, it looks to be the case that the Bundesliga’s last-placed side will also have two departures to announce before the transfer deadline closes.
Patrick Berger reports that Standard Liege are working hard to acquire little-utilised striker Samuel Bamba. Sky Germany and others claim that attacking midfielder Lukas Daschner will move to St. Gallen.
Bochum signed Bamba away from the Borussia Dortmund reserves this past summer on a free transfer. The former German youth international has nevertheless been unable to gain traction under the coaching regimes of Peter Zeidler or Dieter Hecking, logging only seven minutes in three brief league relief appearances.
Whether the Belgian Pro League side seek a loan or outright purchase of the 20-year-old remains unclear. In the case of Daschner, a loan with a purchase option is apparently in the cards. The 26-year-old also joined Bochum on a free in July 2023. He ended up making 34 Bundesliga appearances for the Revierklub over the past two seasons.
Daschner’s attacking prowess produced two top flight goals, including one in a 2-2 draw against Holstein Kiel on matchday four of the current season. The Duisburg-native also registered an assist in a match-day seven loss against Hoffenheim. He unfortunately missed from the penalty spot later in that very same match.
