Fiorentina are in full-blown crisis after scraping a 1-1 draw against a Torino side down to 10 men for an hour, as they have two points from six Serie A rounds.

Danilo Cataldi was still not fully fit, but Michael Folorunsho got his first start after the transfer from Napoli. Toro had Karol Linetty and Sebastian Walukiewicz suspended, plus Mergim Vojvoda, Ivan Ilic, Zanos Savva, Perr Schuurs, Emirhan Ilkhan and Duvan Zapata injured. Saul Coco made a decisive tackle as Albert Gudmundsson was pulling the trigger from the edge of the area, then Ali Bina Dembele lunged in to stop Moise Kean going clear, trying the same on Robin Gosens only to mistime it for a yellow card. Pietro Comuzzo nodded a Rolando Mandragora free kick wide of the far post, but the game changed on 33 minutes.

Already booked, Dembele naively pulled back Folorunsho in midfield for an avoidable second card and reduced Torino to 10 men.

Fiorentina took the lead soon after, as Vanja Milinkovic-Savic parried an acrobatic Andrea Colpani scissor-kick volley into the path of Moise Kean for a looping header from 10 yards.

It was so nearly 2-0 moments later, but Saul Coco was decisive to prevent Gudmundsson tapping in the Gosens roll across from five yards.

Yann Karamoh squirmed down the left and flashed a finish across the face of goal, then Milinkovic-Savic scooped a Kean flick off the line from the Gosens cross with one strong hand.

Torino almost equalised on the stroke of half-time, a corner bouncing off Comuzzo’s head and thumping his own crossbar as he tried to get in front of Guillermo Maripan.

Kean aimed two weak finishes straight at Milinkovic-Savic, as Fiorentina failed to make the most of the extra man.

Instead, first Alieu Njie knocked down a long goal kick to drill inches wide, then moments later 10-man Torino drew level. Comuzzo and Yacine Adli were both weak and distracted playing out from the back, allowing Gvidas Gineitis to intercept and equalise.

The frustration at their current form and this latest gift started to filter down from the stands, as Adli hit another weak finish at Milinkovic-Savic and Maripan charged down the Kean effort.

Adam Masina tested David De Gea in stoppages after a Gineitis free kick was charged down.
