We've had our first moment of drama in tonight's hotly contested Merseyside derby at Anfield.

The home fans were up in arms after Everton defender James Tarkowski landed a seemingly reckless challenge on the leg of Alexis Mac Allister after following through with a clearence.

Tarkowski was shown a yellow card and avoided harsher punishment after a VAR check, much the chagrin of the Liverpool players and coaching staff.
