Man United have reportedly identified four players as possible candidates to bolster their attacking ranks for next season.

On Sunday evening, the Red Army were delighted to see Rasmus Hojlund put a merciful halt to his 21-match drought, while Joshua Zirkzee continues to show encouraging signs, albeit not necessarily in the opposition’s penalty box.

Nevertheless, fans and observers would unanimously agree on the club’s dire need for attacking reinforcement. After all, the management failed to address Marcus Rashford’s summer exit, leaving Ruben Amorim with limited options upfront.

So according to Sky Sport DE journalist Florian Plettenberg, INEOS have drawn a list of four candidates who could arrive next summer.

“Manchester United are looking to strengthen their attack in the summer and are intensively scouting the market. Talks have already begun,” posted the German journalist on his personal X account.

“From the Bundesliga, the Red Devils are closely monitoring Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko. Viktor Gyökeres and Victor Osimhen remain high on their list.”

Eikitike is a 22-year-old French striker who rose through the ranks of Stade Reims before earning himself a move to Paris Saint-Germain. But after finding little space at the Parc des Princes, he made the switch to Eintracht Frankfurt where he’s prolific in front of goal.

Sesko is another up-and-coming Bundesliga bomber who has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal.

As for Gyokeres, we are talking about one of the most coveted players in Europe at the moment. The 27-year-old Swede almost boasts a one-goal-per-match ratio this season, and would arguably be Ruben Amorim’s favourite candidate due to their prosperous collaboration at Sporting CP.

However, Osimhen might just be the pick of the lot. The Nigerian bomber terrorized Serie A defences for four years before joining Galatasaray last summer after falling out with the Napoli hierarchy. At the age of 26, the Lagos native is about to hit his peak, and he is looking for a club worthy of his massive credentials.

The former Lille striker is blessed with incredible physical strength and an almost unmatched tenacity that allows him to beat his marker to the ball, even when facing bigger defenders. So if INEOS have £62 million to spare, they would be wise to spend it on Osimhen’s release clause.
