SM: Conceicao will not hold press conference before trip to face Bologna | OneFootball

Sergio Conceicao will not hold a press conference before Thursday’s game away from home against Bologna, we have been told.

In the past few weeks, it has not been uncommon for the club to not arrange a press conference before certain games. The team were/are playing every few days and sometimes there is not the time in the calendar nor the logistical possibility (due to travel and other factors) to stage them.

However, we have learned that Conceicao will not speak to the media prior to Thursday’s game against Bologna, which is a crucial contest in terms of the fight for the top four and represents a sort of last chance saloon for his side.

Given that the most recent fixture was on Saturday night, it is certainly not a timing issue as there should be a sufficient window to hold a presser on the eve of the game.

Moreover, after the Champions League exit to Feyenoord and the damaging league defeat to Torino, fans will have been hoping to for the coach to answer some particularly difficult questions.

It is not yet known whether there will be a press conference before the Lazio fixture on Sunday, but given the limited time it cannot be ruled out that there isn’t one for that game either.
