Former Barcelona director Ramon Planes has this weekend admitted that he and the Al-Ittihad board are interested in signing members of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Recent weeks have of course seen murmurs begin to spread once more, surrounding potential incoming bids at Barcelona by way of the Saudi Pro League.
Frenkie de Jong and Raphinha are two such players understood to be in the sights of a number of clubs in the Middle East.
Speaking during an interview with Mundo Deportivo this weekend, the sporting director of one such club, in high-flying Al-Ittihad, was therefore drawn on the possibility of moving for Blaugrana players.
And Ramon Planes, who previously acted as technical secretary and sporting director at the Camp Nou, refused to rule out as much, in explaining:
”Barça has the profile of many players that are liked here, with technical players, with talent, and if you analyse the squad there are many interesting players with a good profile to come and it is true that some are on our lists.”
