The winger departs Dallas after three seasons, in which time he scored 18 goals in 96 appearances. Prior to that, Arriola played for D.C. United, and Tijuana in the Liga MX.

A 2022 MLS All-Star, he also has 50 caps for the US Men's National Team, scoring 10 goals.

Speaking on the deal, Sounders FC Head Coach Brian Schmetzer said: “I’m pleased to welcome Paul to Seattle. His ability to play multiple positions at a high level gives us a lot flexibility as a coaching staff"

“Beyond his skill and versatility, Paul’s experience will be a positive impact in the locker room and contribute to the strong culture we’ve built at this club. We’re excited to see what he brings to the group.”

Arriola has agreed to a three-year contract with a club option in 2028.
