Sevilla are keeping a close eye on Lucas Vazquez’s situation at Real Madrid, as the experienced full-back nears the end of his current deal with Los Blancos.
According to a report from Fichajes, the fellow La Liga club sees Vazquez as a prime target for a free transfer in 2025, aiming to bolster their squad without making a significant financial outlay.
Vazquez, 33, has been a key utility player for Real Madrid, excelling both as a right-back and in more advanced positions. His versatility is a major reason why Sevilla view him as an asset who could add both experience and quality to their squad.
With their ongoing search for cost-effective reinforcements, the possibility of securing a player of his calibre without a transfer fee is an attractive prospect.

While Real Madrid have not yet decided on Vazquez’s future, the longer the uncertainty persists, the more likely it becomes that he could consider options away from the Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, Sevilla are prepared to present a proposal should he choose not to renew with Los Blancos, offering him a new challenge in La Liga with guaranteed minutes and an important role in their squad.
Sevilla have successfully relied on free transfers in recent years to strengthen their team, and adding a player of Vazquez’s pedigree—who has won multiple Champions League, La Liga, and Copa del Rey titles—would align with their strategy.
Despite his age, the Spaniard remains a reliable performer and could bring leadership and depth to a squad in transition.
For now, the final decision rests with Vazquez. If Real Madrid opt against extending his stay, Sevilla will be ready to pounce, hoping to land a seasoned professional without a hefty financial commitment.
