Southampton are seeking to surpass the infamous 11-point mark when they host Fulham in the Premier League this Saturday.

Derby County still possess the unwanted record of the lowest points total in Premier League history, managing just 11 throughout the entirety of the 2007/08 campaign. Southampton, who are already relegated, matched that tally with a late draw at West Ham United last weekend and will exceed it should they avoid defeat at home to the Cottagers. That's all the south coast side have left to play for at the end of a torrid term.

Fulham have little but pride to motivate them, too, with European football no longer a viable possibility for the west London side. Marco Silva's men have tasted back-to-back Premier League defeats and are extremely unlikely to finish higher than eighth this season. It's still been a mightily impressive campaign for the Cottagers, even if they have proven a tad too inconsistent to trouble the European spots.

Simon Rusk is once again in temporary charge of the Saints following the departure of Ivan Juric and managed to secure a draw with Fulham after stepping in for the dismissed Russel Martin earlier this term. He's hoping to manage the same on Saturday and has few injury concerns.

Albert Gronbaek is the only guaranteed absentee for the Saints having been missing since the March international break, but Ryan Fraser and Charlie Taylor are both doubts to feature against the Cottagers.

Fulham are not inundated with injuries themselves and Reiss Nelson is their only long-term absentee. However, they were without Rodrigo Muniz and Emile Smith Rowe during last weekend's defeat to Chelsea and both are doubts to feature at Southampton.

Raul Jimenez will lead the line in Muniz's absence, while Smith Rowe is only likely to start on the bench if fit. Andreas Pereira has established himself in the attacking midfield slot during recent weeks and should start again.

Southampton have managed just five points on home soil this season, losing 13 of their 15 clashes at St Mary's Stadium in the Premier League. Even the most loyal home supporters will be expecting defeat when Fulham come to town on Saturday.

The Cottagers have proven unpredictable this season but should have more than enough in the tank to topple the Saints, even if they have little to inspire them to victory this weekend.
