The January transfer window already feels like it's been going on for ages - yet we are not even a week in. Spurs have already wrapped up their first addition the window, bringing in goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Czech side Slavia Prague - someone with the co-sign of Premier League legend Petr Cech.

Spurs linked forward approached by four different clubs

It feels like the club have been linked with just about every player under the sun. One name that hasn't been mentioned as much, but was plenty of times last season - and between the two windows - is Lille Striker Jonathan David.

However, there has been a development on that front. Sky Sports have reported that as many as four Premier Clubs have made an approach for the Canadian striker, whom has just six months left on his contract at the French side, with seemingly no willingness to extend his stay any further. Could Spurs be one of those teams?

Therefore, it is their last chance to get any money for the player, before inevitably losing him on a free transfer in the summer. As a result, we could see him available for a pretty small fee, which, no doubt, comes across as very attractive to those four teams - and the wider footballing world.

Highly reliable ITK, Paul O Keefe, reported at the end of last month that the club were looking at four positions; Goalkeeper, central defender, winger, and striker. As we all know, the first one has been ticked off. Could we see David being the striker he mentioned?

Something interesting to note is the final two positions - winger and striker. We have seen the club seriously linked to Randal Kolo Muani of Paris Saint Germain, with Manchester United and Juventus also interested. The thing is, the 26-year old has played a lot of games on the wing, and a lot of games up front.

He has played a lot more games up front than out wide, that is true, and perhaps suggests he would be the striker signing, should a deal be struck. However, he has played out wide more often in recent years, which could have more bearing on the reason the club are trying to bring him in for. The question remains - Kolo Muani and a striker, or Kolo Muani and a winger.

To be fair, it is good to see the club being proactive about the current situation. It is what you expect, but how often do Spurs do the exact opposite of what you would expect? Let's wait and see what happens here.
