There has been a great improvement in all areas of this FC Barcelona team since the arrival of Hansi Flick on the bench. However, this improvement is nowhere more evident than in the attacking line, as the Blaugranes are playing at a very high level offensively.
Their goalscoring form has been so good that the Catalan team is on track to beat the record set by some of the best teams in the history of Barcelona, including those of Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique.
So far, the Blaugranes have scored 113 goals in all competitions, and more than half of these 113 goals, 65, have come from their attacking trio of Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha.
If their total contributions are counted, i.e., both goals and assists, the trio has contributed to 78.69% of the team’s total 113 goals.
In fact, Mundo Deportivo notes that this trio has been key for the success that Barcelona have achieved this season as it has directly contributed to the scoreboard in 32 of the total 36 games played by the Catalans this season. No other attacking trident in the top five European leagues has had such a big influence in so many games.
The only four matches in which this trident was unable to get a goal or an assist were the defeats against Real Sociedad (1-0) Leganes (0-1), and Atletico Madrid (1-2), and the draw against Getafe (1-1).
Other than that, the trio of Lewandowski, Yamal, and Raphinha has scored in all of its games, and thus directly influenced 94% of the games in their team’s favor.
The Pole has the highest number of goals among this trio, as he has scored 31 goals in 33 appearances up to now, while also creating 3 for his teammates. However, Raphinha is the one with the highest number of direct contributions, with his 24 goals and 15 assists in all competitions. Lamine Yamal has contributed with another 11 goals and 14 assists.
