Hugo Ekitike could very quickly become one of the major transfer sagas of the summer as several clubs kickstart their searches for a prolific goalscorer.
The Eintracht Frankfurt talisman is exactly that, boasting 19 goals and eight assists in 39 appearances across all competitions – as well as a hat-trick for France U21s in his first international appearance of the campaign.
Alas, such numbers have unsurprisingly caught the eye of Europe’s top dogs, and Ekitike has now garnered a lengthy list of admirers, which includes Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich also keeping tabs abroad, as per German outlet BILD (relayed by Sport Witness).
Frankfurt will do their utmost to keep hold of the 22-year-old talent, especially given that they sanctioned the exit of Omar Marmoush to Manchester City mid-season. However, they’ll eventually have no choice but to concede defeat if the player himself is pushing for a move – and some proposals may prove too lucrative to turn down.

BILD’s report adds that the Bundesliga outfit will demand around €80 million (£67m) if they’re to part ways with Ekitike in the summer. 20 per cent of whatever fee they recuperate will go straight to Paris Saint-Germain, who included a sell-on clause when his loan to Frankfurt was made permanent in 2024 for only £13.2m.
The Premier League trio in the race are ‘really hot’ for the in-form Frenchman, deemed ‘one of Europe’s hottest striker prospects’.
United, meanwhile, are seeking reinforcements to ease the burden on struggling duo Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. They stand to receive a welcome cash injection via Jadon Sancho moving to Chelsea for £25m and Marcus Rashford potentially signing for Aston Villa for £40m.
It’s thought that Antony will also be transfer-listed after driving up his during an impressive loan spell with Real Betis.
