The striker is bound to attract interest if he continues his fine form.
Although Sunderland endured a heartbreaking end to their match with Leeds United on Monday night, Wilson Isidor was once again in the spotlight.
It has been a season of phenomenal goals for the 24-year-old, and he added yet another one to his collection after rolling Ethan Amapdu before slotting neatly past Illan Meslier.
While Isidor only turned his loan into a permanent deal earlier this month, it feels as if it will not be long until the Black Cats are fending off interest, with the Frenchman primed to play at a higher level.
If it were not for his two penalty misses against Burnley, then Isidor would be the second-highest scorer in the Championship, behind only Borja Sainz.
However, it is not the number of goals that the forward has scored that has caught the eye, but more the way in which he has scored them.
Against Hull City, he gave supporters a taste of what he was capable of, with a truly exceptional solo goal in which he ran the length of the pitch before dinking over Ivor Pandur.
His cute volley against Coventry City was another memorable moment, but his finish against Leeds was arguably the best of the bunch due to his strength, skill and finish.
While he is not perfect, Isidor has shown that he is capable of scoring all kinds of goals in the second tier and has cemented himself as a genuine contender for the Golden Boot.
Making the forward's deal permanent already looks like an incredible piece of business, with his value bound to skyrocket on current evidence.
Although Sunderland supporters will be loving watching Isidor's exploits in front of goal, there must be a sense that the striker will attract admirers sooner or later.
Finding goalscoring strikers is no easy task, as demonstrated in the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United unable to acquire quality forwards in January.
Apart from his penalty humiliation against Burnley, Isidor has shown that he is capable of scoring all kinds of goals and, significantly, he makes it look so easy.
The Frenchman's future will likely depend on how the Wearsiders finish the season and if they manage to clinch promotion, then Isidor will surely remain at the Stadium of Light.
However, if the club fail to achieve that ambition, then Isidor presents the perfect option for any of the clubs that do achieve promotion, as well as some of the current top-flight clubs.
Sunderland know all too well what it feels like to lose their star strikers. Ross Stewart departed for Southampton a couple of seasons ago, and the Black Cats have only just filled his void with Isidor.
signed a permanent deal with Sunderland a few weeks ago.
