FIFA Trophy Tour stops in Salzburg

We want to carry The Sound of Salzburg when we take to the international stage as FC Red Bull Salzburg at this summer's FIFA Club World Cup by representing the unique culture and passion of our home region.

As an homage to the classic musical The Sound of Music, the FIFA Club World Cup Trophy this Friday visited the same iconic spots featured in the film as part of the official Trophy Tour. These spots have become venues that symbolise the beauty and culture of the Salzburg region over generations, with the musical still delighting viewers - especially in the USA! That the movie featuring the Trapp family is celebrating its 60th birthday this year as we travel stateside made it the perfect way to mark our participation in the big tournament.

The Sound of Salzburg is about more than football, after all. It represents the rich cultural offering of our Festival City and Salzburger Land, the home of numerous great artists - along with the way we use football to excite and inspire fans worldwide with our Salzburg Way.

Trophy Tour | See the trophy up close

The biggest prize in club football is currently visiting Salzburg, and you can see it up close! This Saturday 29 March the 'crown jewel' of the World Cup will be on display to the public for the entire day at Theaterplatz in Europark. From 14:00 there will also be an autograph session there with Karim Konate, Takumu Kawamura and Bullidibumm.

The FIFA Club World Cup trophy can also be seen on 31 March when our CEO Stephan Reiter is a guest on the ServusTV programme Sport und Talk aus dem Hangar-7.
