‘The time to make a decision…’ – Veteran Barcelona goalkeeper still undecided on his long-term future | OneFootball

Having made his first appearance only after the turn of the year, the goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has already made himself one of the key starters for Hansi Flick and also a place for himself in the hearts of FC Barcelona fans.

With him on the field, the Blaugrana team is yet to taste a loss, as in his 16 matches so far, only 2 have ended in draws, while the rest of the 14 have ended in wins for the Catalan team.

However, despite these good performances, the Pole is still unsure about whether he will stay for another year at Barcelona or once again end his professional career, as he had done last year.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, he appeared in an interview with a Polish outlet and made it clear that he will make a decision on this matter soon, but for now, he is fully focused on his upcoming matches:

“Probably, the time to make a decision about my future will come soon. Right now, the most important thing is to focus all my physical and mental energy on the upcoming matches. We have to play our best.”

The veteran goalkeeper also expressed his happiness about playing for Barcelona:

“I can’t complain about destiny. I have to be very grateful for how it has treated me. Playing for Barça is very exciting because the football played here is beautiful, something completely different from what I have experienced so far.”
