Chelsea chase Mainoo

As I actually exclusively reported on my website yesterday, The Times confirm that Chelsea are ready to make a move for Kobbie Mainoo as early as this month if they receive encouragement from the player.

Mainoo appears to represent a bit of an opportunity at Chelsea’s end, a chance to sign a top young player due to the situation at another club. United might have to sell homegrown players due to PSR issues, and Chelsea may well now be looking to capitalise on those issues.

The Blues midfield is already pretty stacked though, and they have the amazing Andrey Santos out on loan too. So you wonder whether this should be a priority at all…
